I took a trip to Parkersburg to spend some time with Robby Kerr to learn more about his perspective as a young West Virginia entrepreneur. Robby co-founded Hemp Picks in Parkersburg, WV with Morgan Leach and is involved in many facets of the cannabis industry.
Rusty met Senator Ojeda at the beginning of the 2017 session as was so moved by Rusty’s story (listen to Episode 1 to hear it first hand) that he decided that he would make the Medical Cannabis issue is the mission for the session and beyond. On the podcast, we dive deep into SB 386 (The West Virginia Medical Cannabis Act)
Sam and I met a few months ago when I walked into his shop to see if they carried CBD products. To my surprise, he was one of the only shops during my 2-day hunt that did. From there we stayed in contact as we discussed the Medical Cannabis Act and our states new hemp laws.

With Morgan’s background as an attorney, we had originally planned on discussing the laws and procedures surrounding hemp that go into effect on July 1st, as well as SB386 and how the Medical Cannabis Act works in its current format, and ideas on how we can make it better prior to it going into effect.

Chris moved to Colorado a few years ago to learn the ropes of the cannabis industry with the hope of someday bringing his products and knowledge back to the Mountain State.
